I'm doomed!

I've been browsing the Chatelaine bulletin board this morning. After getting back to Alpine Seasons, I'm all in Chatelaine mode at the moment.

I headed into the "Ask Martina" forum in the hope there might be a question and answer there about the materials list for Illuminated Medieval Sampler (there was - hopefully available next week). There I found an innocuous little thread titled "More Patterns Please". Oh, maybe there will be a hint in there about upcoming designs, I thought innocently.

Martina is promising a POMPEIIAN mandala garden. I'm so doomed. This just catches my imagination right off. She said later in the year, so I'll have to curb my enthusiasm in the meantime.

It doesn't help that I still want to stitch Egyptian Garden and Watergarden, both of which I have patterns for, but no supplies. Not to mention other ones I haven't actually bought - like say, Taj Mahal or Medieval Town Mandala or Persian Garden, just to name a few.

I guess I better a) keep on stitching my Alpine Seasons and b) win lotto this weekend.

Tell me about it!! I did Roman history at school, been to Rome and strolled through all the ruins, have loads of books on the Roman empire. A Pompeiian garden would be perfect! It may just break my resolution if it's half as nice as I hope it might be....

And then there's MVIII to finish, and then the Egyptian one, Misty Morning Vineyard, Taj, Persian, Medieval.... sigh...

you know what i am doing RIGHT at this very minute... sitting staring at the link that you click to pay for the stitching book that gets released in April..
i am having this enormous yelling match in my head about why it is stupid to even think about it.. how the chart is too expensive, the supplies are too expensive and i would insist on doing it in the silks etc...
how i DO NOT have enough time...

but still my finger is wavering..
and i KNOW i want to do next years big mystery even though i swore i would never do a mystery...

i had successfully talked myself out of Persian garden ...

its ridiculous isn't it and yes a pompeiian garden would be amazing.....

sigh

Oh Fudgey, I'm laughing.

I totally understand. I'm tempted by the whole Victorian Garden mystery thing too. I swore I'd never do a big mystery, that my little castle was enough for me. I think I lucked out on that, as the one castle I did (J) turned out to be my favourite of all four.

All these designers are trying (and succeding in my case) to drive us crazy!
