Look what I got

See what beautiful flowers my parents sent me.

birthday_flowers It’s my birthday on Tuesday (the big 4-0, although I don’t feel nearly that old) but we’re having a gathering of friends tomorrow, so Mum thought she’d have them arrive early so I could enjoy them on both days. Isn’t she just the loveliest mother?

Wonderful flowers, happy 40!!! It's really not a big deal once you've gotten there!! From someone who's already been there and more!

Hi Kerry,

Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a
wonderful birthday week, with lots
of celebrating and lots of presents
and all that great stuff.

re: the book Housekeeping. I wanted
to read the author's Pulitzer Prize
winning book Gilead but read some-
where that Housekeeping was a sort
of prequel to it. So I got it first.
Now I'm not so sure that it is a
prequel after all. Oh well. I do
wish that it was a bigger book too.
It's not that thick and will
probably be a quick read, when I
do read it. I still plan on getting
Gilead and reading that too.

Love the exquisite designs of
Second Chances that you've been
stitching. And the colours are
beautiful, as is the fabric that
you've chosen to stitch it on.

I really enjoy your book reviews
and getting a heads up on books
to look for (like I need help
with that, Lol) and new authors
to explore.

Cheers to a fellow lover of books!
