Jacob’s Faith by Lora Leigh

Leigh, Lora - Breeds 11 - Jacob's Faith (2) I had two attempts to read this in 2010. In all honesty, neither went entirely well.

23 Jan 2010 to 31 Jan 2010

Sorry, but I just don't care.

I don't care about the characters. I've read a quarter of it and there doesn't seem to be any plot showing up yet. I'm just not in the mood to plough through this and I'm giving up.

[and]

7 Apr 2010 to 7 Apr 2010

After reading the next book and finding it okay [Aiden’s Charity which I rated 6/10], I decided to try this again. I still don't particularly care about the characters and there wasn't much plot, but I skimmed through it quickly and managed to pick up the most important points - mainly characters that may show up again later and the introduction of a new type of Breed.

I have a confession. I'm almost about to throw in the towel with this series. I was hanging out for Jonas' book (Lion's Heat) but...I've read a few reviews and I don't think the heroine and I are going to get on.

I actually prefer the novellas, when the heroines seem to break out of the fiesty, OOT mould, to the books and...well, I'm only reading the books for the overall plot arc and not for the characters, which doesn't seem a good enough of a reason to actually read a series. Oh, this ties in with the post I've been working on!

So, um....yeah. Not sure whether to read Lion's Heat, but I skipped Bengal's Heart, because the thought of reading about a fiesty journalist (the heroine) filed me with dread.

My verification word is vises. I'd have to be in one to read Bengal's Heart - LOL!
